Chris Shields

Shields is currently a professor at the University of Arkansas and serves on the Board of Directors at the Community Creative Center in Fayetteville. Before entering academia, Shields practiced law in Northwest Arkansas as a private attorney where he developed a love for property law and business administration. Shields frequently worked with entrepreneurs and businesses in that capacity. Shields also served as the Vice President of Administration for Dramatic Garden Designs, Inc, a landscape design and build firm. Beyond his bachelor’s degree from Arkansas, Shields holds a Master’s in Sociology, a Juris Doctor of law, and a Ph.D. in public policy.
